Realtime Transcripts
Realtime is achieved by a special software in the court reporter's laptop which receives the steno feed from the reporter's steno machine. This CAT software instantaneously translates the steno notes into English (or Spanish, as the case may be), producing a rough-draft transcript which can be read from the reporter's computer screen, or immediately passed on to the attorney via "rough ASCII disk" at the conclusion of the proceedings, or right onto the attorney's laptop simultaneously through REALwriter’s Binder realtime software.
